The Lightest Way TO Stay In Control

UltraLite is made for the smooth-swinging golfer who’s sick of snap hooks. It’s ultra-light, oversized, and non-tapered — so it keeps you relaxed, lets you swing freely, and adds control without changing your swing weight.

Why STR8 Tech UltraLite?

Traditional skinny grips demand extra effort. STR8 Tech UltraLite lets your hands do less — and your body do more. It’s ideal for players looking to:

  • Reduce tension
  • Delay the release
  • Keep a consistent feel up and down the grip
  • Preserve a conventional swing weight
Who It’s For

STR8 Tech UltraLite grips are especially well-suited for:

  • Smooth swingers who battle hooks
  • Golfers with fast hands
  • Golfers who prefer to feel the head more during the swing
WHAT BRYSON SAYS

“I’m all about removing variables, and that’s exactly what STR8 Tech does. Think of someone who struggles with a snap hook — it’s usually the bottom hand. With STR8 Tech, we increase grip size and keep it consistent throughout. That helps golfers sync up grip pressure and eliminate big misses.”

“And for golfers coming from baseball or tennis? STR8 Tech just feels right. It’s more intuitive.”

STR8 TECH VS. TAPERED GRIPS*

While STR8 Tech grips have a smaller butt diameter than some other JumboMax models, the lower portion of the grip feels larger — and more consistent — throughout. If you want equal control from top to bottom, this is your grip.

*Grips pictured are size medium.

A solid choice.

I'll try to address topics for which I tried to find info prior to my purchase, so sorry for this long review. After using their app to find my size, I ordered a test kit with both the counterbalanced & regular version of the STR8. I also bought a Zen Lite & regular Ultralite, all Medium size to test. One of my only criticisms of these grips is that it's VERY expensive to correctly figure out what you want. I don't usually wear a glove & have been playing reduced taper grips for almost 30 years (before commercially available, I'd build up the lower portion of my grips with tape). My choice, since their release, has been Jumbo GP CP2 Wraps. I was surprised that JumboMax grips didn't feel odd at all the first time out with any of them. However, it took a few rounds for me to relax & make my regular swing. After settling on, then purchasing a full set of STR8 UItralites, & playing several rounds, I love them. My hands don't hurt after a round & I've hit more clubs longer than I had with my previous grips. Could be a coincidence, but it's odd that this has happened just after their installation. In fact, I shot 4 over par on the tough 9 of my home course last week during league. I'm not a bad golfer, but it was my best score on that course ever. I play Sterling Single length clubs & had no issues playing these grips on any club from driver to LW. I play a slight natural draw & my most common miss is a snap hook since coming back from knee replacement (got into some bad habits when compensating for pain prior to surgery) & these have helped. I'm still able to draw the ball or block it a fairway right since I haven't replaced the idiot swinging the club. Remember, these will help but they're not magical. While researching prior to purchase, I read some say that you can't install these with air but I did (both on & off) & had no issue after turning up the psi to around 90. I'm not thrilled with the grip texture which is very similar to Dri-Tacs. I find them a bit slippery. I liked the texture of the Zen Lite better but they're not available in STR8s. Hope this helps someone.
